According to the media she is still missing. Signal boost, y’all!
Just bought a full years subscription to Lynda.com! Learn all the Adobe products! I’m going to be learning about how to build a website, tricks for photoshop, and audition. Hell I’ll learn everything, even Flash. I MUST USE ALL THE TIME TO CREATE!!
If you don’t know what Lynda.com is, its a site that gives you video tutorials for a lot of different programs, even ones that aren’t Adobe based. So if your using a program and want to learn more about it, I suggest checking it out at Lynda.
I did a lot of Voice Actor Alliance auditions yesterday and it seems like I got a few hits! Fantastic! This is the first time I’ve been given a character from the website. I nailed three different characters from the same game! For those of you who don’t know, Voice Actors Alliance is a site for prospective or small time voice actors. It gives you a lot of practice! I might not be paid for these rolls, but that’s okay, I am a prospective voice actor, not professional…yet. And the practice is invaluable!
The reason for making this blog is to better understand myself. I know how corny that sounds but it is the truth. I am going through a type of reboot. My mind, body, and soul has been feeling a bit out of touch. I can’t tell if I’m passionate about anything or if I’m just liking it. My parents say I have to settle on one thing, and soon, in order to make money. But I don’t believe this to be true. Sure maybe you need one thing to focus on in order to make a steady income but I think I can do a lot of things in order to make money. I can’t jump the gun though because first I have to be passionate about something. First it was drawing, then art in general, then animation, the list goes on and on but I haven’t found one thing to really stick to ever since my love for animation changed ( which I’ll discuss in a later posting). Right now I’m into voice acting and fashion, but during this travel I have found other things I’m interested in as well. And even though I thoroughly enjoy fashion and voice acting, I’m not sure if I’m passionate about it.
There isn’t one specific point of my blog. I’ll be using it in order to show creative things I’ve done lately or planning to do. I might put up links to anything I find interesting. I might even put up contests to see what other people can do when faced with a creative challenge. Either way this is a way for me to externalize what I’m thinking and feeling. This is also a record for myself so I can look back and see how far I’ve gotten. Mainly it will be used to show the creative processes I go through.
